Poria Astero
VP, Power Systems
Poria Astero is Vice President, Power Systems at GridStrong, where he oversees the power systems function across generation, large loads, grid operators and special studies. He brings 20 years of technical expertise across grid stability, resource interconnection and the infrastructure behind large data centers, including at ERCOT, where he developed the first US model quality tests for grid-forming and storage resources. A Senior IEEE Member with a PhD, two patents and more than 1,300 citations, he contributes to IEEE, IEC, NERC and ESIG.
