We are a team of electrical engineers who spent decades supporting the bulk electric system and who grew frustrated by how much time we spent on low-value tasks and scattered data. So we reimagined how owners and operators of large grid assets manage the AC side of the plant from interconnection to operations.
our story
GridStrong came to life when veteran software entrepreneurs teamed up with Elevate Energy Consulting, a leading engineering firm that provides a broad array of services to the bulk electric system - from renewables integration, modeling and studies to reliability assessments, regulatory compliance, event analysis, technical consulting and much more.
The Elevate team was frustrated by the lack of purpose-built tools for managing the operational and compliance tasks for the AC plant. Elevate’s customers struggled with plant data that was often scattered, outdated, and prone to errors despite everyone’s best intentions. As an industry, we spend too much time digging through files for as-left settings, nagging OEMs for information they may not even have, comparing dozens of documents to try to figure out which one actually reflects the plant, and redoing work related to each new compliance workflow in order to make sure we follow the most rigorous compliance procedures.
So we imagined a better way. And we built it. We believe GridStrong is the future - that there really is no other way to manage this work efficiently and effectively.
