Case studies
Work that takes a consultant weeks is delivered in days. The result is more accurate than the manual study, every answer cites the page that proves it, and the record is shared by every department that needs it. Each case study is written from a delivered record.
Renewable owner, about 100 plants, US and Canada
A renewable owner wanted to know which compliance claims had a document behind them. In about two days, GridStrong read 23,000 documents against 1,900 claims at about 70 plants and folded in the owner's own tracker. About 45 percent already had a document on file, and every other claim now names the gap to close.

The owner counted this wind plant among the best documented in its fleet. In the fleet review of about 70 plants, GridStrong tested each of its 45 compliance claims against the plant's own files. Every missing document is now named, so the owner knows exactly what to file for each claim.

A renewable owner's files and records sat in six partly populated systems, including file shares, spreadsheet trackers, ticketing and a governance, risk and compliance platform. GridStrong moved about 400,000 files and 44,000 records into one place in 60 days while those systems kept running. The owner's staff granted access and sent files, nothing more.

A renewable owner needed to act on every recommendation in more than 50 study reports across several dozen plants. In two days, GridStrong turned each recommendation into an assigned, dated task on the owner's dashboard, about 300 in all, and no one typed one. Re-runs keep the list current, so the tracking spreadsheet never gets made.
Read the case studySolar plant, Texas
A Texas solar plant needed a study under the NERC PRC-028-1 disturbance monitoring standard. A manual study took 31 days and covered a third of the requirements, while GridStrong's took 9 hours and covered all of them in 644 checklist items. A senior protection engineer reviewed both and found 1 error in GridStrong's study and 12 in the manual one.

A 100 MW wind plant with more than 60 turbines needed a ride-through assessment under the NERC PRC-029-1 standard. A consultant took seven weeks to draft one and eleven weeks to finish. GridStrong rebuilt it from the plant's own settings in about two days and found a trip setting the first report had marked compliant.
Read the case studyRenewable owner, 12 plants across several states
A renewable owner needed coordination studies under the NERC PRC-019-2 standard at 12 plants across several states. A consultant typically takes six to eight weeks for one such study. GridStrong studied all 12 plants, wind, solar and storage, in one week, with every number traced to a page in each plant's own files.
Read the case studyWind plant, about 270 MW, Texas
A wind plant of about 270 MW in Texas needed its substation equipment inventory rebuilt. In one day, GridStrong built it from about 930 documents: about 130 pieces of equipment, about 4,500 links back to the source documents, and about 70 bad entries removed. Every value is tied to its source.
Read the case studyRenewable owner, nearly 40 plants, several Regional Entities
One compliance lead at a renewable owner faced a Wednesday deadline for enforcement discretion notifications across nearly 40 plants and several Regional Entities. GridStrong drafted the notification workbook overnight from the owner's own forms. The first filings went out a day early.
Read the case studyRenewable owner, operations engineering, ten plants to start
Protection engineers at a renewable owner were pulling each relay event file by hand from six sources. GridStrong set up one list where the files from ten plants now land, parsed and screened on arrival, with the event report pre-filled.
Read the case studyRegional transmission organization
A regional transmission organization's own systems send plant model packages to GridStrong through an API. Every case runs in three simulation tools, PSCAD, PSS/E and TSAT, in a fresh virtual machine, and the full report returns the same way in under four hours. It handles dozens of packages a day with no engineer needed.
Read the case studyAsset owner, ride-through program of about 20 plants
An asset owner with a ride-through program of about 20 plants needed its inverter models checked. GridStrong benchmarked the fleet's PSCAD simulation models against PSS/E, a second simulation tool, and against the settings actually in place at the plants. It found two models that injected no reactive current during faults and a negative-sequence gain left at zero.
