Senior Manager, Forward Deployed Operations
Owns a portfolio of embedded accounts.
About the role
What this role is for.
An embedded account is one where GridStrong runs part of the customer's operation: their plant information, compliance evidence, operator notices and the studies their fleet needs, all on the Dashboard. The customer's compliance manager, asset manager and plant engineers work with us every day. The engagement has to feel like their own team and run on our standard process at the same time.
You will own a portfolio of those accounts. You are accountable for delivery, satisfaction and expansion in your portfolio, for routing every study your customers need to Power Systems, and for keeping each engagement on the standard so a new plant costs less to serve than the last.

Level: Senior Manager
Location: Remote, United States or Canada
Works with: The Director of Forward Deployed Operations, the Forward Deployed Managers in your portfolio, Compliance Services Managers, Power Systems division heads, Client Success, and compliance and asset management staff at your customers.
What you will do
- Own delivery and customer satisfaction across a portfolio of embedded accounts, including the readiness cycle and reporting to each customer's leadership.
- Lead the Forward Deployed Managers assigned to your accounts, set their priorities and review their work.
- Run the operator notice, evidence and task workstreams on the Dashboard so nothing the customer owes an operator or auditor is missed.
- Identify every study your customers need under PRC-028-1, PRC-029-2, MOD-025, MOD-026 and MOD-032 and route it to Power Systems.
- Expand within each account: new plants, new departments and new workstreams, with Client Success on the paper.
- Track plants under management, cost to serve and studies routed for your portfolio.
- Escalate to the Director early and with full context when an account is at risk.
What we are looking for
- Seven or more years in account delivery, compliance operations or technical program management in energy or utilities.
- Working knowledge of NERC compliance for generation owners, including PRC and MOD standards and the evidence cycle.
- Experience leading a small team and running multiple accounts at once.
- Organized and dependable: your customers' compliance calendar runs through you.
- Comfortable in the customer's own tools and channels as one of their team.
- Clear written communicator who pushes context to the team.
Nice to have
- Experience at a generation owner's compliance or asset management function.
- Experience with ERCOT operator processes and notices.
- Experience replacing a GRC tool or tracker with new software.
The first 90 days
- You own your portfolio, have met every customer stakeholder and have run one full readiness cycle.
- Every open study need in your accounts is identified and routed to Power Systems.
- Your Forward Deployed Managers have clear priorities and a review cadence.
